The New Year

1.Last year was the year of... A very snowy Christmas and lots of missed school days. I watched lots of Christmas movies and comedy shows.

2. This year will be the year of... Lots of make up days of school. Going into June and at least this year we have Spring break.

3. How can you improve your life for the new year... To help my grandpa on the farm even more. Helping move my brother to the basement because he is one of the biggest mess makers in the world.

4. What was your favorite part about the last year... This is my first year of finishing harvest with my grandpa. Me and my dad went out to hunt for the first time (we didn't get anything). I learned more about wood working with my grandpa and we did lots of projects.

5. What was your most successful story about last year... Climbing the grain bin for the first time to see if it was full. This was awesome because I have been in one from the ground but never inside one.

6. If you could celebrate the new year from anywhere in the world, where would you go? I would go to Hawaii because I have always wanted to visit Pearl Harbor.

7. Describe last year in five words. What do these descriptions mean to you? Amazing, Farming, No School, Shoes.

8. Set three goals for this year and outline a plan for each.1. Help my grandpa more on the farm. 2. Get more mowing jobs for neighbors lawns. 3. Have a safe vacation trip to South Carolina.

  1. How are you going to accomplished your three goals? What are your plans? Hawaii would be a great place to visit any time but especially during the New Year's. I wonder if fireworks are displayed over Pearl Harbor? Where are you going in South Carolina? We used to go there every summer; we've stayed at Hilton Head, Isle of Palms, Charleston, and one other place but I can't remember. Why was one of your five words "shoes"?
